CANCELLED – April 2020 Club Meeting ‘Bring a Model Evening’ – CANCELLED
Bring a Model Evening
This event is now cancelled, due to the current Coronavirus situation.
PANDAS invite you all to a BRING A MODEL for a STATIC DISPLAY COMPETITION at the April club meeting on Tuesday 7th April 2020.
The idea is to bring the best model or models to the club meeting on 7th April 2020, so that we can all benefit from seeing how others build and assemble their aircraft.
You don’t have to take part in the competition, but we would like to see your model anyway.
Bring a Model Evening 2019
For those who take part, entry forms will be made available on the night and entries will be judged, and prizes will be awarded.
Models can be “scratch built”, ARTF or even RTF. What is important is the quality of the build, attention to detail and imaginative presentation.
As with last year’s event the competition is “Fixed Wing only”.
We would have liked to include other types of model but the time available makes it impossible to accommodate them.
The club doors will be open just after 7.00pm and it would be best if members bringing their aircraft, got there early, to set up their display.
We will keep the club meeting short and deal with any club matters at 8.00pm prompt, aiming to start the competition around 8.30pm.
- You will need your Transmitter. (Please take care of your kit as we can’t be held responsible for any losses).
- Electric models should have the battery removed and, in the event, that you are asked to demonstrate the working model you should bring a fully charged battery and tools to enable the propeller to be removed.
- IC models must be drained of fuel and have stoppers for all pipe-work where fuel could leak out. We don’t want fuel spills in the club.
You may be asked to demonstrate the workings of your model including “fail-safe”, “retracts” etc. where applicable, so please ensure that Tx & Rx batteries are fully charged.
Modellers taking part in the competition are encouraged to provide a written description and appropriate details of their model for others to study. Say one sheet of A4 size, but that’s up to you.
This should be an interesting and fun filled evening, kindly organised and judged, by one of our club examiners Jim Brown, assisted by 1 or 2 other club members.
