PANDAS BMFA Flying Site Permit to Fly over 7.5kgs Aircraft above 400 feet (up to 1500 feet) – Renewal July 2023

I have renewed the BMFA flying site permit to allow aircraft weighing over 7.5kgs and up to 25kgs to fly above 400 feet at the PANDAS flying field (up to 1500 feet). The permit is issued by the BMFA under the terms of the  Article 16 legislation. The permit now expires on 21/7/2024. Permit link below:

The permit has to be reviewed annually and I am responsible for ensuring the club complies with the permit conditions.

Aircraft weighing between 7.5kgs and 25kgs can fly up to 1500 feet during daylight hours.

We still need to have a NOTAM in place. I have to renew the NOTAM every 90 days (details on the club calendar).

You can check the NOTAM on the below website link. If you untick all the boxes on the NOTAM details section (to the right) apart from the top one ‘Show navigation warnings’ and then zoom in, it easier to find the NOTAM.

Please remember that to fly any aircraft weighing over 7.5kgs or any turbine aircraft at the PANDAS flying site, you must hold a BMFA ‘B’ certificate and have a competent observer whilst flying.
