Club Membership
We have 163 club members at the moment with at least another 5 who have indicated they will rejoin once the weather improves. I have had a few enquiries about trial flights which I hope to sort out in the next few weeks. That may lead to some new members too.
I have said I would like to get the membership up to 200 this year (might be slightly optimistic) but you can only try.
Club Meeting – Tuesday 7th May
The next PANDAS club meeting is on Tuesday 7th May. At this meeting club secretary Terry Lee will be giving a talk on paint spraying.

No Fly Days
The horse racing season has started and the next ‘No Fly Day’ is on Monday 22nd April.

Grass Cutting & Field Maintenance
The weather is still not brilliant and we are hoping it will get better in the next few weeks.
The field is still very wet and we have not cut the grass properly yet.
We have spoken with the grass cutters and as soon as the field is dry enough it will be cut.
BMFA Northern Area Achievement Scheme Training & Testing Day – Saturday 11th May
We have a BMFA Northern Area achievement scheme training & testing day at the field on Saturday 11th May.

PANDAS Club Social Membership
We are looking into, having a club social membership category, for members who still want to be involved with the club but for various reasons no longer fly. We are looking at making this free to existing members and would just ask for payment for a new gate key if we changed the gate locks.
Club Training
We will continue with the traditional Wednesday training day for now.
We are still looking at providing further dedicated training times later in the year. It will depend on how many people are interested and if we have enough candidates and trainers to make it worthwhile.
We are already providing training on quite a few Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
